Walls up, paintwork underway at Three Lanes Lyttleton Street

Construction is moving quickly at Three Lanes Lyttelton Street Somerfield, with 43 new homes taking shape.

Framing is nearly complete, and from next week, first floors will start going in.

The first roof is set to be installed in early to mid-March, and by mid-April, the units will be enclosed, weatherproof and watertight.

From there, brickwork will begin, followed by interior work - gib, plaster, and painting - starting in May.

Landscaping is planned for July and AuguConstruction is moving at pace at Three Lanes Lyttleton Street, with great progress across all blocks.

Formance panels are now up site-wide, giving real shape to the development and outlining the layout of all 43 homes in this first stage.

Some homes are now enclosed, with insulation installed and the first coats of interior paint going on. Roofing has also started, and several blocks are already under cover.

It’s a busy site, with different blocks at different stages — and that staggered progress is bringing visible momentum and a growing sense of what this new community will look like.

When complete, Stage One Three Lanes Lyttleton Street will deliver 43 warm, modern homes.

That includes 20 social homes and 12 Progressive Home Ownership properties, with designs to suit a mix of individuals, couples and families.

The housing products the 11 remaining homes will support are being finalised; we’ll share details as they’re confirmed.

Right next to Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre, and close to parks, schools, a daycare and playcentre, the development is well placed for family life.

The first homes are on track for completion by November 2025.
