Interior fit-out begins at Three Lanes

Fit-out is now underway at Three Lanes Lyttelton Street, with the 43 homes in stage one moving quickly through the next phase of construction.

Many now have windows and doors installed, and work has begun on key interior features including hot water cylinders, sinks, cabinetry and solar panels. The solar panels are a first for ŌCHT - more details on that coming soon.

Panelling and insulation are largely complete across the site. Interior painting has begun in several homes, and progress is advancing steadily, with some variation block to block to keep construction flowing smoothly.

The Three Lanes development will deliver:

  • 12 Progressive Home Ownership (PHO) homes

  • 20 social homes

  • 11 homes still to be confirmed
(There are no plans for affordable rentals at this site.)

This is the first stage of the project, with 43 homes currently under construction. Stage two - a further 22 homes - is still being finalised. We’ll share more as those plans develop.

New: Two construction stages, three handover phases

The 65 homes at Three Lanes are being delivered in two construction stages, with three handover phases to maintain momentum and minimise delays.

Here’s how the three handover phases break down:

Handover 1 (part of Stage 1):

  • 8 one-bedroom homes

  • 8 two-bedroom homes

  • 5 three-bedroom homes

  • 2 four-bedroom homes

Handover 2 (also part of Stage 1 including the PHO homes):

  • 8 one-bedroom homes

  • 8 two-bedroom homes (PHO)

  • 4 three-bedroom homes (PHO)

Due for completion October / November.

Handover 3 (Stage 2 – 22 homes):
These homes are still being finalised. More information to come soon.

When complete, Stage One Three Lanes Lyttleton Street will deliver 43 warm, modern homes.

That includes 20 social homes and 12 Progressive Home Ownership properties, with designs to suit a mix of individuals, couples and families.

The housing products the 11 remaining homes will support are being finalised; we’ll share details as they’re confirmed.

Right next to Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre, and close to parks, schools, a daycare and playcentre, the development is well placed for family life.

The first homes are on track for completion by November 2025.
